I do not believe in an afterlife and I fiercely oppose the exploitative $20-billion-dollar death industry; I am dead-set (pun intended) on how I’d like my remains handled.  I’ve asked my husband to abandon my body and vacate the premises upon my death.  Utilizing my tax dollars one last time, the city coroner will be obligated to process my abandoned body and bury it along with LA County’s Unclaimed dead in a mass burial ceremony, freeing my loved ones from both the financial and emotional trauma that is caused by traditional death practices.  In the end, however, I remain indifferent because when I die I will not have the awareness to care about any of this.
